Prevention and Early Detection

There are a wide range of reasons why patients get kidney disease. It may be because of diabetes, high blood pressure, a hereditary condition, medications or dyes used in medical procedures that can damage the kidneys. Prevention and early detection is important to prevent kidney disease. Research into understanding detection through blood and urine tests, effects of medications on the kidneys and biology of kidney damage from various conditions could prevent and detect damage to the kidneys at an early stage.
