Kidney Care (Non-Dialysis)

BC has a network of 13 Kidney Care Clinics.

Our goal is to help you understand more about your kidney condition. We work with you to help you keep as much kidney function as possible and to help you feel as well as possible. Our clinics offer medical care, education, support, and practical information.

Kidney Care Clinics provide care for a range of patients. Some people have mild to moderate loss of kidney function, while others are preparing for dialysis or a kidney transplant. Some patients come to our clinics for a few months, while others are followed for several years. Some people may never need dialysis or a transplant.

To help you find information more easily, resources on this page are organized into two parts:
  • Resources for patients who are new to a Kidney Care Clinic, including what to expect and key information for the first few months
  • Resources for all patients, families and care partners to support ongoing kidney care at any stage
Links to commonly used external kidney health websites are available in the sidebar for easy reference.
